When sunlight penetrates the glass curtain walls of the Accelerator Smart Factory and flows over the mass-produced large megawatt wind power main gearboxes, the figures of those who once fought side by side here vividly appear before us. They might have bid farewell due to new journeys in life, like former Power Group President Chang Xiaowei, or perhaps, in earlier times, they had already poured their youthful sweat into this hot land. Today, we look back at a heroic saga of struggle written by countless Power people, resonating in harmony with the pulse of the times.
In 2019, when Power Transmission was still struggling on the rugged path of capacity ramp-up, a group of pragmatic individuals with industrial ideals, represented by Comrade Chang Xiaowei, stepped into this challenging field. At that time, the monthly production capacity was still low, and the daily output of the workshop was stagnant. The vast domestic and international markets called for greater energy. The early entrepreneurs treated the factory as their home and rose to the challenge.

How many times, in the brightly lit workshop, have we tightly grasped the production reports, bending over the machines with the experienced workers, calculating each process and tightening each node meticulously. They do not engage in empty talk about visions but pour their wisdom and sweat into every detail. By optimizing resource allocation and restructuring production processes, they have significantly boosted machining efficiency. When the U8 information system painstakingly penetrated departmental barriers, achieving precise control from sales orders to individual parts, the eyes of the veteran logistics and warehousing staff sparkled with surprise: "No more flipping through worn-out ledgers!" Behind this are countless nights of process streamlining, data importing, and system debugging.
What is even more moving is that, in just one year, under the leadership of the Weili General Office, a brand-new assembly line and automated painting line were built from an industrial wasteland. The production capacity achieved a remarkable leap, earning Weili prestigious industry recognitions such as the "Outstanding Supplier of Project 21" from Goldwind and the "Excellent Cooperation Award" from CRRC Wind Power. This miracle of capacity stems from the down-to-earth efforts, the perseverance through countless late nights, and the breakthroughs at every bottleneck.
As the corporate ship sails into broader waters, the challenges become increasingly daunting. In 2021, Weima Electric, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Transmission, entered a critical integration period. With daily single-shift production capacity not yet ideal and the management system in urgent need of streamlining, Chang Xiaowei was appointed as the general manager of Weima Electric in a time of crisis. Bringing over two decades of valuable experience in the equipment manufacturing industry, he immersed himself in the Weima workshop. With a steadfast commitment to "stationing," he worked with the team to identify bottleneck processes and optimize resource allocation. In just a few months, the daily production capacity of motors increased several times, laying a solid foundation for future advancements.
It is incredible that this series of brilliant achievements was forged during the challenging times of the rampant pandemic. At that time, supply chains were disrupted, and personnel shortages loomed like dark clouds. It was the extraordinary courage and resilience of countless Weili employees that kept them working and living on the production front lines, tirelessly day and night. From early morning workshop scheduling meetings to late-night process optimization diagrams, countless sleepless nights with bright lights collectively lifted Weili's upward curve against the wind. The rapid implementation of the "Precision Reducer R&D and Production Project" as the company's first smart factory benchmark, along with the establishment and improvement of support departments such as internal audit and operations, all embody the wisdom and responsibility of all Weili employees, represented by Chang Xiaowei, during this special period.
In 2024, when the steel structure of the "Wind Power Accelerator Smart Factory" stands majestically under the clear skies of the northern region, "Power and Speed" once again captures industry attention. This benchmark project, prioritized by both the autonomous region and Yinchuan City, reflects the dedication of the project team at every stage—from groundbreaking to topping out, and from equipment installation to commissioning. With significant annual investment, early completion of civil works, and orderly equipment installation and commissioning, the achievements are a vivid interpretation of the "Power Spirit": survival through quality, development through management, and soaring through innovation.
Comrade Chang Xiaowei, as one of the core promoters of the project, has led dozens of coordination meetings, resolving numerous challenging issues such as utilities integration, cross-border equipment transportation, and project construction supervision. He understands well that a smart factory is not merely a pile of concrete and steel; its essence lies in truly empowering production with 5G and intelligence, achieving end-to-end digital integration. This foresight has made the project a benchmark for the industry's intelligent transformation.
From the challenging beginnings of entrepreneurship, to the vigorous development phase, and then pioneering a smart future, every step taken by Power Transmission is deeply engraved with the names and footprints of generations of its people. Without leaving behind loud proclamations, they have forged miracles of productivity and leaps in output with their hands. Without concerning themselves with personal gains and losses, they have infused the company's very fabric with the genes of "lean management" and the awareness of "safety first," like spring rain nurturing the land.
Rivers do not reject small streams, thus forming a majestic presence; enterprises embrace the tides, ultimately gaining the opportunity for continuous growth. Some colleagues are bidding farewell to Power for new journeys in life. Despite our deep reluctance, we understand the importance of respect and blessings. The systems they built with their own hands, still operating efficiently today, and the projects they propelled with great effort, now poised for launch, are the most profound and precious gifts they have left to Power. Like stars, even when they travel afar, they continue to shine in the sky of Power's development, guiding those who follow.
Here, on behalf of the entire team, the Board of Directors of Power Transmission extends the highest respect and sincerest gratitude to all those who have dedicated their efforts and sweat to the company's development. It is your dedication and wisdom that have illuminated the glorious years of Power Transmission. May the years ahead be vast and bright, and may you all take care. Power Transmission, this land where you have strived, will forever remember every sincere contribution.
The journey is long and arduous, with strong winds propelling the sails, and the starlight ever bright.
The lights are warm and welcoming, wishing for a future reunion to talk about new beginnings!
